Taxi to Creamfields 2027: The Winsford & Cheshire Guide

Cheshire Private Hire Transport · Updated for the 2027 festival year

Creamfields returns to Daresbury Estate for the August Bank Holiday weekend, and if last year's four-day, 75,000-plus crowd is anything to go by, it'll be the single busiest weekend of the year for taxis anywhere near Cheshire.

This guide is for anyone heading to Creamfields 2027 from Winsford, Northwich, Middlewich, Sandbach or anywhere else in Cheshire who wants a fixed price booked in before the weekend gets chaotic, rather than trying to flag something down in a field car park at 2am.

Where
Daresbury Estate, Warrington, WA4 4AF, off the A56 between Runcorn and Warrington
When
Creamfields is always held over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Exact 2027 dates weren't confirmed at the time of writing, but expect Thursday to Sunday, mirroring previous years
Distance from Winsford
Roughly 18 miles by road, around 30-40 minutes outside of festival traffic

Why booking ahead actually matters this time

Most journeys, same-day booking is fine. Creamfields weekend isn't most journeys. Every private hire operator across Cheshire, Warrington and Merseyside is pulling from the same pool of drivers and cars, and demand is heaviest exactly when you need it most: the small hours, when tens of thousands of people are trying to leave the site at once.

If you already know your dates, book your car as soon as they're confirmed. If you're not camping and need collecting after a specific set finishes, tell us in the notes on your booking, flight-number style, so your driver knows roughly when to expect you.

Getting there: what to expect

Daresbury Estate sits just off the A56, with the M56 and M6 both close by. On the day, expect the roads immediately around the site to be busy from mid-afternoon onwards as campers and day visitors arrive, and organisers typically ask drivers to follow festival signage rather than relying purely on satnav, since temporary road layouts and one-way systems go up around the venue for the weekend.

Our advice: build in extra time either side, particularly for a Thursday or Friday arrival when everyone's turning up within the same few hours.

Coming home: the bit people underestimate

The festival runs late into the night across all four days, and the exit crowds after headline sets are enormous. A few things worth planning for:

Groups and minibus transport

Travelling as a group of five to eight? Our 8-seat minibus means one booking instead of two or three separate cars, which is usually cheaper overall and means nobody gets split up trying to find two taxis in a packed car park.

Travelling in from further afield? If you need an airport transfer either side of the festival, see our guide to airport transfers from Manchester & Liverpool.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi to Creamfields from Winsford?

Pricing is worked out from your exact postcode using a fixed formula, so it's confirmed before you pay rather than estimated on the day. Get your exact price here.

When should I book my Creamfields taxi?

As early as you can. This is the busiest weekend of the year for private hire across the whole area, and cars get booked out well ahead of time, especially for late-night pickups.

Can I book a return taxi for after Creamfields finishes?

Yes, our booking form supports a return journey with its own date and time, so an early drop-off and a middle-of-the-night pickup can be booked together.

Creamfields dates and details are set by the festival organisers and can change. This guide will be updated as 2027 details are confirmed. For the latest official information, check Creamfields' own website directly.
